Not to mention the complete trashing of the front radiators and everything behind the bumper cover.

It looks minimal at first glance but once the onion was peeled, it was conclusive this car should never be back on the road.

Imagine driving over a telephone pole!

I was rounding the curve, driving into a low sun, tree is in a low spot in the road when coming around the curve and the road was dappled in shade from the trees adding to the camouflage.

The picture misleads on the distance from the curve to the tree to a degree. It looks like a longer stretch than it really is.

I did not know it was there until S**t hit the fan.

Hell, the headlights + rotors should be worth 5K (assuming PCCB)

That car will definitely be back on the road via a unscrupulous car dealer/flipper...I've seen a lot worst put back on the road. Too bad, with the rare white 996TT with that interior is definite sad to see it salvaged. Glad your ok.

This sold yesterday.

Anybody have access to IAA Auction prices? I would be curious to know what it went for.

Its the end of the road for my 996tt. Hit a dead tree that fell in front of me. Tweaked the frame and that was it for this car. All panels and running gear are excellent.

This is an insurance auction, nothing in it for me, but in case anybody is in need ….

Any idea where the car ended up? I’m looking for a motor.

Very surprised this was considered salvage. What else was shot besides the radiators?

Tub damage. Was never going to align correctly again and strut tower was weakened beyond the point of safety.

Sold as salvage but I suspect someone bought it to put back on the road as it looks repairable to a hack.
