Default Question for those with iPd plenum and gt3 throttle body

Just wondering, does the plenum and throttle body make the same difference in noise like it does on the n/a 996s?

I remember when I had the plenum and throttle body put on my c4s 996 and was blown away by the noise. Just wondering if it’s roughly similar to the n/a cars. I’m guessing no but wasn’t sure.

I have been unable to notice any tone change over the three inch muffler less exhaust.

But I do like the way the car runs over the gummed up OEM throttle body.

I have the IPD with the 74mm tb. No noise or power diff that I can tell. What I did notice was no brittle plastic bits to crack anymore. That alone made it worth it.

Same as me - smooth, isn't it?

For sure. Not sure why people quibble about whether or not it adds power. I'd still install it if it proved to remove 10HP just to have the upgrade in workmanship.

I have it. It makes no noise- but boost comes on a lot quicker & harder.
Or maybe its my F1 headers,EVOMS 4 inch intercoolers, EVOMS airbox & venturi, y-pipe, x-pipe, K24's, 1 bar waste gates, Cobb tune etc?

I understand the mind set of adding it because it eliminates a plastic piece that’s prone to potential cracks. I wasn’t sure if it just made that howling noise it does to the n/a cars.

Not that I noticed. If you want intake noise, go grab a evoms intake. Those things howl like no other.
