Yes it will go to famous NYC watch specialist for case polishing & repair. Plus new tire tread strap.

It was able to replicate every single Tag design, including the limited edition mucho spendy tourbillon version, neat, but not for me.

I had my Tag Link in for a service awhile ago and I was quite shocked with the bill; can only imagine what you're facing - good luck with that.

The Rolex is beautiful - I think the idea of trying to make the strap of the Chopard look like a tire takes away from the artistry of the face and case design. Metal straps all the way.

But that Daytona... very nice.

I hope not. Again, that's what Porsche and Lamborghini said about building an SUV.

I've worn the same mechanical watch for over 42 years.

That is impressive - in that time, how many times have you had it serviced/freshened?

Thats pretty good - every 12 years or so - do you wear it twenty four seven, or take it off at night? I have a little heated blanket so when I take it off at night, I still put some energy into the case so the oil stays warm.

I take it off when when I go to bed. I also take it off if I'm doing anything that might damage the watch (playing certain sports, working out, using some of my tools, etc.)

I'm not at that level. I've worn the watch in some very cold conditions; much colder that it gets in my house at night.
