Default Sunroof reset

My battery was low due to leaving a light on and I had left the sunroof open due to amazing weather we are having in Colorado. So battery gets drained empty as i tried to close the sunroof within two inches of full close. I put the car on battery tender and everything is peachy except sunroof. Almost as it started working under the "new" limits. 2" away from close was max it would get to closing. It wouldn't tilt up. It would try to go too far back. I read threads where many owners posted on resetting or reteaching. My car would not go into reteaching mode no matter how long I held the sunroof button down.

Here is my solution:
-disconnect the negative battery (wait for 15 minutes or however long it took to watch an episode of comedians in cars getting coffee)
-Remove two phillips screws from overhead light cluster/sunroof switch.
-There is a manual tool which you insert to the sunroof motor and manually close the roof.
-reconnect the battery and hold down the tilt up position. Make sure to keep pressing down as the sunroof does the reteach dance.
-So far so good.
