Thanks Carlo, there are a few imperfections in the clear coat that are driving me crazy but it’s one of those things where it annoys me but nobody else will ever notice.. I think I may just move on to the next one.

Technical question Carlo, the postage company seem to have lost my rear brake discs so I’ll only be doing the front until they turn up. Do you think I’ll have to bleed all 4 corners or just the ones I’ve worked on? I’ve been careful to not leave them open and clamp the soft lines where possible.

You bleed the whole system whenever any part of it is open. Unless you feel really confident in those clamps. I'd still bleed it all, it's easy enough.

Thankyou, no problem at all. It’s unfortunate I’ll have to do it twice but it’s all experience to me!

Yes, bleed the whole system starting with the bleeders that are furthest away from the master cylinder and work your way to the closest ones. Passenger side rear, driver side rear, passenger side front, driver side front or swap those sides if the car is right hand drive.

Great Thankyou, I’m aiming to have the car back on the road for next weekend so looks like I’ll have a few busy nights after work this week!

That came out pretty well, a plasti-coat type paint? Finish is pretty uniform.

Just the vht caliper paint.
Real red and clear.
I think the preparation was key, it’s taking me around 8 hours per caliper haha!

haha! You make a valid point! I sometimes get a bit precious about things that no normal person will ever see!

I took a different approach with the second caliper and went back to bare metal….
Now I’m concerned all the little bumps and things will show up in the paint

what did you use to go all the way back? Surely you did not sand that well. If so, I need to step my game up!
