Yes it will have on a 996 either on stock brakes or on upgraded. The the master cylinders added flow and pressure that trips the psm failure, not the caliper or rotor upgrades. The added flow/pressure is just enough to trip the pressure switch in the psm pump to go into psm/abs failure mode.
Beautiful. So are you going to pull together a comprehensive kit? The MC, Jegs, and hard lines? When can we buy?

If you put together a kit, I'm in as well!

Sorry guys. Been in the hospital with the gf here and havent got back to anyone. Few other guys have done the mod and working great. It's simple but works. You will need to add some.teflon tape to the NPT adapter fittings that come.with the valve because they seems to leak if you dont.

Before I post in the classifieds, wanted to throw it out to relevant peeps.

I put together the necessary components for this mod but haven't gotten around to install, and frankly, have been focusing on my new C2 more than the Turbo at the moment since the Turbo is about perfect in my eyes already.

- 997 GT3 MC
- Custom lines
- Jegs apportioning valve

PM me if you'd like this setup!

Hi I am interested in this as well. Is there a functioning kit at the moment? I am not mechanically inclined and would need a reputable ship to do this for me. Thx.

Good question : is this thread still active ?
Is anybody that have installed a JEGS pressure controler could chime back in and express comments on results ?
(I'm running a "GT2" master cylinder since some good time, and once on the while I got the error.)
THANKS A LOT

By the way, if reducing a little bit the pressure do solve the problem, then we should have more than one solution.
For example, I never heard about JEGS brake parts, ..but for sure, I have heard about Wilwood !
A Wilwood pressure controller do exist too !

Maybe someone has a parts list so that you can put the kit together yourself.

Best regards

Hi gents, I performed this upgrade a few years ago on my RHD 2001 C4.
It was straightforward with no issues, and has eliminated all the warnings that I had previously when I fitted the GT3 master cylinder.
As I could not make up the new pipes myself (I do not have the tools or capability) I took the car with the JEGS valve to a hydraulic shop that specialises in manufacturing hydraulic hoses and brake pipes.
They actually custom make brake pipes for trailers, and were perfect for this (very simple) job.
Once they had made the 2 lines with the correct fittings I took the pipes and valve to my mechanic, he fitted them and bled the system as per the Porsche Service Manual.
Please see the photos, which are self explanatory

Newly made pipes

JEGS 63022 Valve

2 new pipes fitted to JEGS valve

Top pipe from Master Cylinder to JEGS Valve

Top pipe from Master Cylinder to Valve

Plastic cover cut to accommodate Valve

Plastic container painted and screwed over valve

Side view of home made cover

Wow. Impressive. And the shop/mechanic didn’t charge an arm and a leg all in? What did you notice after it was done? How much of a difference. Thanks.
