Range 2 overrevs how many is bad?

Sounds like another example of Range 2's acquired from hitting the rev limiter (for all the doubters out there who claim that isn't possible).
13 ignitions could not possibly have been misshift.

I actually hit my limiter today in first; not used to the LWFW yet I suppose... how bad is that?

It's not. A mechanical overrev on a missed shift is the "money shift". The valve train on a turbo can hit about 7500 rpm without an issue. Not that I would suggest it. Most tunes up the redline to 7k. 1st gear is silly in our cars.

math, never my strong suit
as many times as i've bounced off the limiter with a 7200 redline? i dont wanna even know lol
OP this info might help better explain our ecu vis a vis overrevs etc. http://www.911virgin.com/porsche/rev-range-information/

For me one of the fun parts of a maximum effort pull in 1st gear with the LWFW is the "how quick things happen" part. It requires more attention in managing the car as compared to any straight line pull in the other gears. Paying attention to and managing wheel spin as required, timely and accurate crosscheck of the tach, and quick and accurate hand/feet coordination to execute a spot-on 1-2 shift, all done in a tight time window, while also enjoying the acceleration physiology, is a fun mental and physical process.

Very, very true - I had 2000kms on the dual mass and could nail the 1 - 2 shift, pure joy all the way through third...
I suspect that I'll just have to practice more, it'll be tough, but I'll make it through...
