Default 996TT Trouble Starting When Cold

My car has developed an issue where it won’t start on the first crank when cold. To get it to start when cold you have to turn the key off then on a few times to seemingly prime the fuel pump to get it going. Once the car has started and it’s warm it will start just fine.

I’ve been doing some research and saw in a thread that the venturi valve can crack leading to a loss of pressure preventing the car from starting, but nothing further. Anyone experience the issue I’m having and fixed it without buying a new pump?

can't help except to say, reads like you answered your own question. failing f pump, the car will start, but will die instantly when throttle is applied. common issue. but i bet, not yours.

How long does the car sit between drives?

Check fuel pressure when cold by turning key to "on" position but do not start the car. From there you can trouble shoot.
