Upgraded 6 piston brakes? Now pedal goes to the floor...
so last year my clutch went out, I have the gt2 mod, so the master cylinder got changed. This year I upgraded to 6 piston fronts with new 4 piston rears with 350 rotors. I went for the initial test drive and the pedal went down to the floor before braking.
It probably just just need to bleed the brakes again right? Sorry tossing stupid, first time doing brakes. Looking for a little reassurance.

Yes, rebleed brakes.

So I just went through this same thing. I bled three cans through the system with a power bleeder with no success. So I had my neighbor come over to lend his foot and leg. Went around twice and was good and solid instantly.
BTW I was going to ask you if you have the part number of the pads you went with? I used PFC race pads and cant stand them for street use. Need something good but less noise on slow speeds.

Just as a fyi, doing the pedal method always produces better results than with a bleeder in my experience.

Installed a set of speed bleeder valves to make it a one man job. Piece of cake.

I have heard of people saying that the ABS pump needs to be activated during the brake flush, but I've never done it personally. Also, regarding the master cylinder upgrade, you don't HAVE to do it but you'll probably want to eventually. I'm in the process of switching mine out at the moment. See my thread here:

if you do the master upgrade dont pay the high dollar prices. trw makes these and there sold for under 250$ unless its porsche tagged then its 500$

just reading the beginning of the thread above your post made me stop deadness in my tracks and wonder if I’m going down the proper road. I was looking for a firmer brake pedal, but I don’t want to go down the road of fabricating parts to make that work. It seemed in that thread listed above that there isn’t a definitive answer to doing this.

Brakes were bled better. Back to normal. Not much difference honestly from the original setup. This change consisted of pccb calipers, 350 f/r rotors, oem pads, oem brake shims, steel braided brake lines (I know I know), and Motul rbf650 fluid.

If you do the Mc it will trigger a fault. No one has figured out to remedy this besides unplugging the Psm which will show that failure.
I agree that that there was no real worth change in going to the 6/4 setup. I’m even running the 380 fronts.
My ap racing 390/350 setup outperforms this ten fold.
I can easily bounce people’s faces of my dash. If you want something better in terms of braking on a Porsche then get rid of the Porsche calipers. Just my opinion from experience
