Coils and wet weather symptoms
I am due for coils and new plugs, they are in the mail as i type. Just wondering if the engine breaking up (cutting out) more in wet weather is indicative of coils that are going? I just noticed this the other day when the car was warmed up initially but had not been at temp for long and it was raining. The day before i had been driving for 2 hours before the rain and no cutting out. The plugs have 40K on them and the coils 90K? Its definitely time. Normally i wouldn't be such a slacker but i have no garage and my tool box is in the storage unit while i build a new house. Garage gets sheet rocked this week and garage doors two weeks later, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Just FYI, this is what my 59K mile coils looked like when I swapped them out last year... About 33K on the plugs.
You can clearly see the cracking on the coils. I didn't have any misfires, but I also hadn't really driven it in any significant rain between purchasing it and changing the plugs/coils.
