Lowering my 996 turbo

as posted by another just now. gert @ carnewal *usually* has any/all euro spec stuff. in fact i think he carries the "full kit" of row springs and b6 dampers. caveat emptor as the b4 is the OEM replacement. b6 is to use stock springs and b8 is for use with LOWERING springs only.
that said, i have always used h&r red ( sport ) springs. the ROW' aren't enough of a drop for me at btw -10 - to - 20mm.

tarret carries the ohlins for about 3k lowest ive seen is about 2700 a set lowest price.
back to dampers..pretty sure the b4 is the OEM replacement. the b8 is synonymous with the MO30 which im not even sure that OEM destination is even available any longer. i cant find 'em. the MO30 was porsche's internal part designation even though bilstein manufactures them *all*.

Depends on the coilvoer I think - some come with top mounts, some don't, (not sure about Ohlins) so that may or not be an additional cost if you need to replace. Everything else stays the same cost-wise - adjustable toe links, alignment, labor, etc. It adds up quickly and it sounds like too much for what you are wanting to do.
I got lucky and picked up the B8's and H&Rs for $1,000 for everything, put new mounts, bearings, droplinks, bumpstops on for another $400, and did all the work myself. It's way less than $2,600 - $3,000 for just the coilovers.
The more I drive it the more I like my set up.
Do you have a local Porsche/sports car suspension shop in town? You might want to go talk to them if there is.
