2004 996TT Turning off under hard braking
Hi, tried searching for this and could not find a similar case. The car is a 2004 996TT Cabrio with 20k miles that was sitting for a year and just now started being used again. Overall everything works (except the rear wing rise, one of the cylinders leaks)
Car idles ok around 1.2k when warming up and then 900 rpm when warm and looks fairly stable. Easy driving is OK BUT i've experienced the following 2 situations:
1. On a steep incline the car shut off out of the blue. started right back up with no issues.
2. accelerated and then went hard on the brakes and the car turned off, again it starts back up but its not normal.
read about ICV (idle control valves) which could be but I believe this car no longer has an ICV...could a throttle body cleaning help in anyway? other ideas on a cause for the symptoms?
thanks.

Test the battery and the connections, especially the ground straps.
