Did you have to do any work to get the 255's to fit up front? I've run 245's without much trouble, but it was getting very close.

I had both front & rear fenders rolled to be sure.
The fronts did not really need it but the rears needed it for sure for 315's on a 11.5 rim

I am still confused. Is your car still AWD or RWD? For a AWD car 255/35 and 315/30 wont match as far as i know.
315/30 + 235/40 or 245/40 works
295/30 + 255/35 works
So if your car is AWD, i guess the diameter of the front tire is too small and that could probably hurt your front diff.

As you can see the diameters of the manufacture are different. So the frontwheel is even smaller. Since the wear of the rear tires are bigger, that mismatching will encrease even more.
But its your car, not mine.

1.7 % makes no difference at all in the total scheme of things. Over a full yr. & a half of driving Dif is fine-even with multiple track days.

i ran one with no issue, i did do some massaging of the radiator bracket to pull the fender liner in a bit, but depending on your ride height it may or may not be necessary

The HRE's are specifically designed/measured & manufactured for perfect 996 TT widebody fitment.
No Spacers ever needed,
