Default Turbo brakes 2002-

While shopping for brake pads recently for my 2002 X-50 I was surprised to find out that my car has the four piston calipers in front. The tuning company rep selling me the pads told me this was odd, and that all 2002 Turbos came standard with 6 piston Brembos in front....Did I get jipped somehow or do some of the MY 2002 Turbos come with 4 pistons???

I have 4 piston... I guess your tech was smoking something...hahahaha
if I don't remember wrong... turbos all have 4 piston calipers...
And I believe ceramic brakes have 6 pistons... and so do GT3 calipers and GT2... (I might be wrong)

luiting is right...All TTs come with 4-pods unless you order PCCB which has 6-pods upfront and same rears...New GT3 uses the same 6-pods upfront but with steel rotors

TT's come with 4 piston calipers all around. Steel or PCCB equipped GT3's and GT2's come with 6 piston calipers up front and 4 piston calipers in the rear.
