Default Labor Day Weekend Buy

Long time fan; first time owner. I had been searching for a solid 8 months with little to no luck - most are sold by the time I had an opportunity to contact seller. My neighbor has a few P-cars himself and has been quite influential but also beneficial in my search. Including his 996TT he recently picked up as well.

I finally found one thanks this forum of a Craigslist listing in Minnesota. I was able to contact seller, negotiate price, run VIN and schedule a PPI. Had PPI done at Auto Edge in Mahtomedi, MN. Awesome shop to deal with and took care of me. They were able to squeeze me into an early Friday AM appointment. A few minor items found but nothing to detter me from purchasing. I had new Michelin tires put on, purchased a one way ticket and made my way up there to drive her back home to South Carolina. Made a couple stops along the way but after 1600+ miles later she's home.

Stops included a much needed visit to a long time friend and owner of Automobile Day Spa in Illinois for a detail so she can look good for her photoshoot on the tail of the dragon! 😎

Stopped in Knoxville TN for the night. A quick fuel up before final stretch through US129 and she gave a CEL. A quick scan with the neighbor's netbook found a secondary air injection code. Cleared and kept rolling. She did absolutely amazing. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. Can't wait to get her up to par with maintenance. Then a few light modding to enjoy her. Now for pics.

Makes me want to buy another just to have an excuse for an awesome road trip. Great looking car. Let the slippery slope slide begin. The secondary cat sensor error is common with aftermarket exhausts. I had mine programmed out with the custom COBB programming.

Congrats & welcome. Beautiful car! Fly out and drive home is a great way to get to know your car. Plus, it gives you great memories with it right off the bat. Don't be a stranger on here - post early & often!
