Default Wheel spacer size for 997tt wheels

I just bought a set of 997.1tt wheels and installed them. The wheels look great imo, but they are way too far into the wheel well. The car is also on h&r coil overs so it’s even more dramatic vs stock suspension. What size spacers are you guys running with these wheels?

5mm in the front and 10mm in the rear.

2001 996 Turbo with 2009 997 Turbo Wheels. 295 tires in the rear.

They fit perfect and are perfectly aligned with the body.

take a straight edge (24" if you have it) and lay it vertically against the wheel / tire (depending on how stretched the tires are), up to the fender.

Measure the distance you want in Y direction (across-car) to get the flushness you want, then that distance is the spacer size you need... rounding to the nearest 3mm or 5mm available. So, (since I don't know the actual offset I'll use an example) if you have +30 offset on the wheel, and after measuring above, you think you'd be happy with 10mm, then you would order 10mm for that front or rear SET giving you an effective +20 offset.

Hope this helps!

do you guys ever experience vibration when using spacers with a coil over kit at high speed?

Most run 7mm front and 15mm rear. I have both from H&R, and longer bolts if needed.

Not if they are hub-centric.

i don’t get any vibration up to speeds of 160 mph on a good amount of occasions with my 15mm f/r. That’s also with wheel studs.

i LOVE my figment of stock wheels

reviving this because I’m trying to figure out options for new tires on stock turbo twists. Are you running 235 315 or stock 225 295? Looks amazing!

I’m contemplating going 235 315 on the stock wheels and I’m curious if 15mm spacers all around would still fit with the wider rears and fronts? I like the wider more aggressive look, so as long as it fits fine with no rub that’s perfect for me!
