Avant Garde M310 - Bronze

Edit: Problem resolved!

So, new 19” wheels are on and they look awesome. However, my front center caps will not snap in because the axle is sticking a little to far out. Has anyone ever trimmed, or see a really bad reason why trimming, about 1/4” off the end of the exposed axle would be bad? From what I can see, would still leave more than a 1/4” of axle threads before reaching the axle nut.

Not an answer to your question, but I love the color. A little lighter than what I did.

You need to upgrade the brakes. They do look small inside the wheels. :jumper:

What suspension? They look great! Are the 19s more harsh?

take the rear ones off too!!

Looks good. I am most certainly not a tech, however, it does seem like a small spacer would be better plan vs trimming the axle? Not sure if that would work or not. I guess it depends on how much fender clearance you have.

Thanks! PSS9s. Yep, 19x11 and 19x8.5.

I don’t think a spacer would work for clearance. They fit just right now, I think they would rub it moved out.

spacers and a suspension adjustment. I would personally never trim anything on the vehicle to make way for wheels. Body components, engine work, brakes sure. Those are a more permanent item on the car. Wheels are subjective, and you may end up hating them after a few months.

Update: I was curious to see where the axle was contacting the centercap so I wet the end with an red sharpie, pushed the centercap right in the middle and it snapped on. Tried other side and same thing happened.

I guess the issue was that I was originally trying to install by pushing around the outside edges.

Bottom line...user error!

Man...I looked. Where the heck can I get some?!

you will probably have to measure the size that is on there and then find a sticker to match it and stick it on. you will want to keep the bronze to match, so a same size sticker to perfectly line up is probably only option.

maybe this
