i would think the only person whp coud answer that would be the seller. if he owes 40k on the car and made a few grand he might not be happy. if he is like me and has more invested in mods than i paid for the car and got 46k i likely wouldnt be to happy . i have never used this auction house but i would hazard a guess he could have put a reserve on the car if he thought he should have gotten more.
if he owns the car outright and wanted 40k for another car he might be estatic

of course i have said for yrs these cars will never be classics and garner 6 figures like last gen aircooled or gt2 models. 2 many built but 45 to 55k is were these cars will sit for many many yrs to come. drive them mod them beat them up and enjoy them its the supra of the porsche family

BaT username "treetrimmer" stopped by last night and fully assessed the car. He will be commenting in auction and possibly here. I took him for a drive and he was very impressed with the solid state of the car. AC, Engine, everything.

auction should be starting soon. Hopefully today.
