My $100k 996 turbo
Gotta love a car you can spend $ on no problem...
Brakes, Turbos, Transmission, Suspension, Safety equipment, where'd I loose ya...
They are really cheap stock and drive like a little a loaf of bread stock too...

I personally feel Outback offers some of the most sinister appetizers and side items. I sometimes miss the days before I felt the need to live a healthy life. Most of it disgusts me now, but I can never pass up on a good slab of meat!
I do remember the Red Lobster biscuits. The only thing I felt safe eating in that establishment. Sizzler is the ultimate though, I can only thank God they’re not in my neck of the woods.

But, think of it this way, you obviously enjoy it, otherwise, you wouldn't continue to do it... the search, the decision on what parts, the installation (for us DIYers) and the accomplishment / satisfaction! like the longest first date you've ever had
EDIT: and btw hearing about yours, and pwdrhounds upgrades always gets me excited... because they both make me think to go the same route... for the most part... just less extreme

new toys, or just recounting the monies that've been burning away for a fun hobby?

I rarely recount $pend on car stuff, just a bad policy in general
The inspiration to upgrade is certainly appreciated, I think the big brakes are still the most worthwhile if you track regularly.
Improvements can be minimal in relation to cost unless you're really pushing it. A great less extreme mid-ground is 997 GT3 brakes/OE 997 turbo fr rotors, some coilovers, and solid LCAs & dogbones.
Beyond that, cost goes up pretty quick and the amount of "little stuff" creeps in.
Now that I feel pretty good with where it's at, other car options have been distracting me from work!

I was telling someone last night that I could sell my car for what I paid for it 2.5 years ago, not many used cars can do that. I left off the 20k I've put into it over those 2 years, or the 10k trans rebuild I'm looking at this fall.

Interested to hear what you invested $20k in over the past two yrs and why your car is due for a trans rebuild. I’m assuming you track it?
