My new Porsche mechanic
Getting my alignment done today at German Car Specialists in San Antonio, Tx. Call me crazy, but this place just feels right (see pic)!!
I’ll definitely have my clutch, coolant lines and RMS done here in the future. Great reviews and nice folks!

While it may be a fine place, how would you know unless you had them do something? The shop I use in Phoenix is terrific, but you could not tell by walking into the place.

flyn - I just moved to SA and will need service on both my 996TT and my Cayenne GTS - please PM me or post here what your impressions are after the work is done. So far I've heard great things about Jones Autowerkz but I need some real life impressions ASAP.

Welcome to SAT! Well, I only had him do a 4-wheel alignment because I swapped out my rear lower control arms recently. Seems great and fairly priced compared to others. Berk is nice and easy going. I will have him do a Sachs 2.5, pin my coolant lines and change my RMS in the future, but might be a few months before that happens. He has very good reviews online and I think he is on this forum (6speed forum for sure).
Hey, different subject, but there is a San Antonio cars and coffee club that meets every 2nd Saturday of the month. I have not been yet, but plan to go check it out on July 14th. You can hit up their Facebook for more details. “Coffee and Cars San Antonio”. Cheers.

I go to my Ford dealership - the guy who works on the car is a certified GT wrench, with roots in Europe.
So not only do I not get slammed with the Vancouver Porsche's +$200/hr rates, all of the work is guaranteed for two years, unlimited mileage.
I wonder if other folks take their cars to their local Ford dealers...

Care to share who you use in Phoenix? I'm looking for a new mechanic as my go to man unfortunately died a couple months ago.

He does seem a little worried about pulling the motor and doing the pinning, though, so I am looking at potential shops with a bit more Porsche experience if he doesn't want to do it.

Reminds me of Jerry’s apartment.
