X50 double exhaust tips
Gents (and ladies), could you take a look at the pictures on my auction and confirm if the double tip setup looks like the factory option available on X50 cars?
Some guy in the comments is calling that "phony", as opposed to a double-pipe exhaust.

I'll confirm it looks to be stock! Every X50 i've seen has those. Also note that I believe those tips were also a factory upgrade option for non x50(Believe the code was x54)Guess all of them are phony too. I'll never understand all the negative nancy's on for sale adds or auctions..Geez get a life! GLWS, I'm on the hunt but a year too early for me

Yes, those are factory Porsche. Available on all Turbos, not just X50. On the VIN decoder its called "Stainless Steel Exhaust Pipes". X54 is correct for 2004 at least (my year). Bonus info: Those wheel spacers in your auction do not look factory. To my knowledge, Porsche only used spacers on the rear when the car was ordered with the 18" Sport Techno wheels. You would see "XRN" on the option sticker if spacers were fitted from the factory. GT3 wheels - not familiar with the offset on those.

The comment wasn't about them being aftermarket, but about whether the dual outlets came from dual pipes or a single pipe. They are 'phony' in the sense that they are dual tips off a single pipe. I (and many here) have the same.

I believe it's a misnomer to call them "X50" tips, as I don't think all X50 cars had them (in addition to the fact that they were available for all TT's, as mentioned above).

They are genuine Porsche 'phony' 2->1 tips! ;-) Good for how many horsepower?
