I didn’t say I replaced hid low beams on a turbo. I said I replaced halogen low beams on a bmw. And with projector lenses the cut off was maintained.
This was addressing the concern of putting an LED bulb into a halogen housing (high or low). Ie, if you have a projector lens LED will possibly work ok, if you have a reflector housing it will likely never work.

Just saw this thread. Recently I upgraded the H11 hi beams to this version of LED. 16W draw and about 2x the output of a halogen. The difference is amazing on back roads

Interestingly, I just did this upgrade on my sti, however, it may in fact throw a code on the turbo.

Edit: did not throw a code on the sti.

I've done the foglight upgrade but haven't done the HID looking to make that change when the HIDs die but it shouldn't throw a code

That's good to know, that there is no code.

Think I'll do the fogs, just replaced the hids a little while ago.
