Is that the Boulder, Colorado car? I saw it listed for sale without details on the color but assumed it was Cobalt Blue Metallic.

It is a 6 speed without PSE but Gundo can fix that The calipers are black but I cannot tell or find evidence of them being factory. They look perfect though.

Will do when it comes home. Need to get funds transferred and titles signed. Current owner is out of town next week so it will be a few days. But deposit and handshakes have been made

Keo, I have had 3 4S's and a few turbos. The real difference is of course the turbo kick. The clutch engagements are totally different. But they handle very similar. My TT is tuned and upgraded and in town it is a jack rabbit. The 4S is really a good traffic car. I love them both actually and this is a bit of a dream come true. The best of both worlds.

And Enthusiast, yes it is

Congrats, I have both as well. They do handle the same if they have the same suspension upgrades. Clutch is really different in both due to the clutch being assisted in the TT. The C4S is much better on fuel then the TT, though I am not sure once my engine is done. My C4S is being re-sleeved to 3.8l and nikasil plated right now.

I really like to see all of you being happy with your 996 Carrera 4S...Next summer, (I hope) I will be looking for a C4S. It has to be a 2002 (15 years old mean no custom duties to import to Canada). It has to be seal grey and tiptronic , wife will drive it. Of course the infamous IMS bearing has to be modified (lnc or ceramic)....If other thing to looked at let me know!

I'd have the cylinder walls scoped and photos taken. Looking for scratched/scored cylinders. Can be arranged during the PPI but it won't be inexpensive to do, if it passes you could replace plugs at the same time.

Unless things have changed, for European cars being imported to Canada, there is duty unless it is 25 years old. RIV only applies to 15 year old cars or less but still duty until 25. Just an FYI (unless as mentioned, things may have changed).

Thanks for the wake up call just realized the saving is only $295.00 which is the RIV.....Got misinformed....I bought my TT in 2008 from Florida and did the complete importation. It was simple and I am thinking of doing it again. But obviously I will have to pay for the duties because I am not looking at a 25 + years old car ;-(

RIV exemptions

Vehicles are exempt from the Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV) registration if they are imported under one of the following conditions:

The vehicles (excluding buses) are 15 years old or more based on the date of manufacture, or are buses (including school buses) manufactured before January 1, 1971. The importer must be able to prove the age of the vehicle.
  1. Vehicles older than 15 years
