Default GT-2 Buying advice

I'm considering buying a euro '02 GT-2. I'm planning to modify the motor and so motor warranty is not a decision maker. The car has only 300 miles and I'm planning to trade my '01 996tt with 15K miles and cash. What would be a fair exchange? What other issues do I need to consider? Will I have any Government problems with modifying it?(no prob with EVO Stage 4 on my US '01 996tt but EPA and DOT certs may prevent changes to car???)

The GT2's are selling so poorly here you may want to purchase a used one so you do not have any 'entry' problems whatsoever. Your anticipated cost savings may end up being illusory if you pursue your present course.

The car is already DOT/EPA certified and licensed here in US

I still would not buy a Euro spec car.....you're setting yourself up for problems and no dealer support, since it's a grey market car.

There are plenty of good GT 2 around at fair prices.
