Common boost leak?
Doing the semi-annual boost leak check last night and found a minor leak at the Y pipe to F tube interface. even though i have a good silicone F tube and clamp i could not get it to not produce a significant amount of soapy bubbles. So it took it off (needed to anyway because the throttle body seal is leaking) and found that the Y pipe has a very rough finish and some casting flash where the F tube seals. Cleaned it up with a file, should seal fine now. I would imagine that many of 996TTs out there have this same thing going on.
Hoping that the TB seal fix will help out with the partial throttle hiccup i have.

Not sure that has anything to do with it since the "O" ring seals on the inner surface of the sleeve, just beyond where the spring clamp seats, not that area of the Y pipe.

Wrong hole (I hate it when that happens). The main boost pipes with the seal rings seal up just fine. I was refering to the about 1" dia. tube for the F pipe, the one that you can see has been filed/sanded.

Put it all together and the pickup it almost totally gone. The sanding in y pipe fitting made it stop bubbling. If you have not replaced the seal on the throttle body you might consider doing it.

The throttle body seal is a tricky one as it did not leak until just over 15 Psi. Comparing the old one to the new, the new was quit a bit thicker but the old still looks like new. It think it was more of a vacuum leak that was causing my hiccup. The girl runs a lot smoother now just off idle and partial throttle.
