Default Metal clanking under braking and acceleration

A couple weeks ago I noticed a metal clanking when going slowly under braking and acceleration.

My first thought was maybe time to replace some monoball stuff that is less durable for a car that still sees a lot of street use. Potholes and pavement in Seattle is better suited to some rubber for most cars.
Then I hit the brakes pulling into a parking lot and heard the sound, only this time it was a lot worse:

I've had a 10mm fall out under braking in a different car but this thing was riding with me for about 500 miles.

Funny. I was doing a 5bar fpr install last night and dropped my 10mm wrench around the fpr area. Could not find it and just left it behind. Hopefully it will fall out soon so I can get my 10mm wrench back

Tried to throw a wrench in your plans... busted. Was this the cause of the rattling that you blamed on your monoball mounts last time we were at Pacific?

Sorry I missed your call yesterday, busy day. I'm working from home today and tomorrow if you want to catch up!

I had one in my e30M3 that ended up in a frame rail and after about 3 months came out braking into a right hander. The odd rattle wasted much of my time looking for.

'd look for yours, the belt and pulleys will take out other items if that 10 goes to the wrong place.

No, I had a worn LCA bushing that had started clanking. I also had a washer from cage install that fell under the carpet and would shift around under Gs and that finally got wedged somewhere quiet.

Tomorrow I'll be at PR all afternoon if you're "working from home". Hahahaha

3/4 inch wrench and a 19mm wrench are very very close in size. Nearly identical, only .05mm difference.

Do you know of any 19mm head nuts or bolts on the turbo, other than lug bolts? don't think anyone's using a combination wrench to tighten wheels...

That is a good point. I think there are some 19mm bolts/nuts securing elements of the suspension and cross bracing but it has been a while since I have wrenched any of those parts.

911 Hawk: Question is did you leave it there or a tech?
that would suck if someone was following you and it went through their windshield!

Pretty certain the wrench came from off the road at some point and got wedged somewhere.
It's not my wrench and my buddies shop where I do some work doesn't have any Craftsman in it.
Sometime in the next week I'll put it on a lift to change fluids and see if anything sheds light on where it was hiding.

19mm is the drain plug for the oil tank.
