Arctic silver is more true silver-ish...Polar silver has the bluish tint to it...Just not my favorite.

Polar has a blue tint... Very distinctive to me vs. Arctic.

definitely. i had a polar x50 and it always looked a bit more "special" for that bluish hue. but it also had a kind of turn of the new millennium vibe to the color as silver was hugely popular in the early "00's. one i have now is arctic and i prefer the polar silver.. but maybe not the metropol blue leather interior that polar was usually paired with..and blue carpet was weird

You're right about how silver became so popular in those years..I'd ALWAYS been a silver fan. My first and second car were silver and always loved it.
I'm just a traditional silver fan for some reason. Polar silver does look "special" and unique but I'm not blue fan (Esp. the interior Blue like you said).
The x50 in polar at Dick Barbours has the graphite grey interior which was nice.

its funny you mention that and i agree. the irony is my polar x50 car was a low mileage cream puff CPO'd car, and was plagued with all the usual ( yet relatively "minor" ) niggling "issues" these cars all exhibit at, one point or another..
while my ugly *** track ratted modded arctic silver car hit 144,000 mi. today and its a stung mule wi NO problems!
back OT.. id bet that pound for pound an x50 car will be worth a smidgen "more" in the future if only because the extra 30 HP were factory direct. i got paid an extra $5K from my ins co on a "loss payout", once i haggled with them for that $17,800 option!

I've had both Polar Silver (996 C2) and Arctic Silver (996 Turbo, 987 Cayman S) cars. I like both, Polar is more unusual and definitely has a bit of light blue look to it, changes it's look quite a bit in different light... I'd personally take Polar over Arctic in a Turbo, but much harder to find. On pre-997/987 generation cars, black is the only interior I really care for.. On later cars and particularly 991 gen cars, some of the lighter interiors look fantastic in full leather.
While i've never owned one, the darker greys like Seal are my favorites. Or white. No black, guards red, or yellow for me.

Polar Silver 996 C2
Arctic Silver Cayman S
