Default Wheel Spacer Advice

Pulled the wheels off last night and noticed the rears are rubbing a lot in a few spots (through the liner) and the fronts have rubbed a little.

Car is on PSS9s, running 235/40R18 on BBS RS-GT 18x8 ET-50 in the front and 315/30R18 on BBS RS-GT 18x11 ET-45 in the back.

I like the looks of the ECS spacers and how they have a screw for keeping the spacer locked in place when the wheel is off.

Was thinking of going with 8mm up front and 18 in the back. That would solve the rub and as an added bonus give it a nice aggressive look. Thoughts?

Where are you rubbing? 15mm spacers in the rear will fit might need to roll the fenders if you are low. I think the standard on OEM wheels is 7 front 15 rear and you get a flush fitment. Do a search it has been talked about a lot.

I'll take pictures tonight but for the rear tire its rubbing (if you think of the wheel as a clock) at 5,7 and 10 on the inside.

I've done a lot of searching. Seems like John recommends the GT2 bracket and either drilling the TT liner or buying the gt2 liner. This doesn't seem like it would fix my issue if it rubbing on the front liner of the rear wheel. Right now I'm not running any spacers, maybe starting off with the elephant racing 7MM kit and adding shims from there would be a good idea.

Until I get it dialed in I think I'm just going to tape / grease pen the holes so see if it keeps rubbing until I shell out for new liners.

I run factory twists in 18" so not a direct comparison but I just installed the ECS spacers in the size you mentioned. I am on H & R sports and they look outstanding. Nice fitment and the screws are a nice help to keep them mounted, as you said. Can't comment on the exact solution to your specific wheels offset issues with regard to the ECS spacers but they are nice.

Gt2 brackets and 5mm spacers should be sufficient to fix that

Thanks, I shouldn't need to roll the fenders if I stay under 10MM spacers right?

I went with 15mm no need to roll fenders. 10mm would have still rubbed.

Good advice. My mind keeps changing the more and more reading I'm doing. Made an appointment with the local indy to have the fenders rolled. Also placed the order for the GT2 brackets and liners in the rear.

Now I'll have a lot for flexibility on what spacer to run and can go more aggressive for looks.

I went with Porsche recommends. 5mm fr and 17mm rr. Although, I have it on stock set up. Looks amazing!

7x15 spacers on twists on a lowered car with fenders rolled, looks and handles great.

Just ordered a set of the ECS spacers, 8mm up front (they don't offer a 7mm) and 15mm out back. this combined with the rolled fenders on Wednesday and the gt-2 brackets and liners I should be in good shape. Maybe even enough so to run 335s
