Where did you get the RSR lenses? does anyone sell a replacement factory headlight cover? (the clear plastic outer cover? )

Got the last pair of GT3 RSR lenses available from Porsche Motorsport through FVD Brombacher. They are NLA/discontinued.

Standard lenses with washer pop up may still be out there.

Good luck

U have to remove the washer pop up stalks & chrome cover caps if u want to install GT3 RSR lenses.

I see you are using the Philips 85122WHV2 bulbs which I believe are rated at around 6000k. How do you feel these stack up to the warmer kelvin ratings on the standard D2S Phillips (4300k) or Osram Nightbreaker (4200k) bulbs? I am looking to replace my bulbs here pretty soon and am curious if some of the whiter lighting options are worth the additional price.

Evan @ Vision Auto Labs states the Philips 85122WHV2 5K bulb his the best choice for the purest brightest white output. Check out the lux measurement photos in the project post.

It's been debated but I've always understood that 4300K offers the most VISIBLE light output to the human eye. The white light looks cooler, but reflects and scatters more... so if you're looking for the best visibility at night, then 4300K-5000K is the best option, any higher just makes the light whiter--> bluer and less usable light.

something to consider. i drive big rig on a nite shift. biggest gripe i have is the newer cars with super white lites blinding me from behind and from oncoming. i see people hitting them with high beams all the time thinking they have their high beams on. and sometimes they do.

point is brighter isnt always better if your constantly getting bombarded by other cars that think you have high beams on all the time

Exactly this^
I find the combination of new car lights and sitting in a lower car than most to be very a pretty bad combo for determining who has on high beams.

A few Rlisters have asked for the GT3 RSR lens part #.

Here it is.

Just to caution everyone they come pre drilled with a hole in the lens for mounting to a 996 race car headlight housing.
One easy solution is to just apply XPel or Laminex protection over the lens to keep moisture out. Or fill with clear silicone.

It's not just the newer cars. There are lots of older cars and trucks out there with modified frontal lights that are just out of control.

And it's not just the headlights. The number of cars (especially newer cars) with LED tail lights that are way too bright is shocking. Many times at night, while sitting behind these cars at a stoplight, I put my "sun" visor down to block the bright red tail lights.
