Moton 2-way question
I'm getting various answers, including Moton themselves and from a vendor.... hoping someone here has some experience.
Any idea at what point a revalve becomes necessary for stiffer springs? I've heard anything from 20% range of what they come with (except they don't come with springs from Moton so how do they know), to they can handle up to 1400 lb springs as is.
I'm looking at 900/1000 springs.
Also, if anyone happen to have any of the rebound adjustment ***** that go on the top of the shock they'd like to get rid of, I need a few. Cant find anyone selling them online

Check with fall-line motorsports, I know they had multiple gt3 cars racing and I know they used to setup cars with motons.
Also check with Glen Yee motorsports!

They have such a wide range of adjustment that you'll be plenty fine with the rates that you want, make sure for track work you're on the middle to stiffer end of the adjustment range so that you have enough force to control the spring.
If they have unknown history and haven't been serviced in the last 2 years send them off for at minimum an oil change and inspection and start a working relationship with your new shock guy. These are not maintenance free shocks. I believe the recommended oil change interval is around 40 hours of use.

Thanks for the replies everyone, really appreciate it.
The shocks were freshly rebuilt by the previous owner prior to selling them, which is why I was so hesitant to send them off for re-valving if I didn't have to for my plans.
About that shock guy..... haha. Yeah, going to have to be making friends with the local shops and see who I get along best with moving forward. Fortunately, there are many great options in my area.
