Default Lower front spoiler lip...revisited

Guys, after trashing my first spoiler lip and then paying $300 bucks(yes this was the best price I could find after calling my local dealer, Champion, and Suncoast) for a new one(MK 11 version here) I called the Racers Group to see what they would charge...for the road version it was the same cost...BUT, and this is the good news...I asked, "what about the cup version"......Ryan looked into it and just called me back...said the part number is one digit off the road version, but it is basically the same piece. Price $110/copy...now that is more like it! Anyway, he said that he has a customer that has ordered 3 and they fit the road car with no modification, but might be slightly different then the road version cosmetically(he said more of a matte finish)....anyway for those of you looking for a spare call Ryan @ 707-935-3999.....

I'm the customer that bought three. They fit perfectly. I recommend using the straight "push rivets" as opposed to the threaded screw in type, as they seem to hold more firmly.

I have experience installing the lip as I've now knocked it off 3 times

Did you install on MKI nose or MKII. When I put the PCNA Motorsports "Supercup" version under the car, no holes alligbn except for the midldle one. I thought it was a direct bolt on. And yes, it is a factory. Help anyone?

don't you have to drill different holes in the splitter to match the street GT3 holes under the bumper?

I have the cup one and it fit in all the factory holes. I did add a few extra "fasters" though...I can stand on it and it aint budging now. Tim

I have the Cup version too....forever losing it on my downward sloping driveway. Solution was to ziptie the 3 middle holes instead of using the plastic rivets. Stays on now even if all the rivets pop off.

Be careful how well you fasten the spoiler to the bumper. Mine is VERY securely fastened. When I had my OTE at Laguna Seca's Corkscrew, the spoiler stayed attached to the lower portion of the bumper, but that portion of the bumper ripped right off. Better to have the spoiler detach, no?

Joe is right. That's why my running buddies & I use the push pins on our cups. Lips are cheap compared to bumper covers.

FYI: I have a late splitter on my '00 cup. Works but doesn't stick out on the sides like it would on a late model. Since it's a race car, I wasn't concerned with it being perfect aesthetically Still looks OK.
