Default Airbag Failure Light Question

I removed my roll bar and got an airbag failure light. After some research I learned that its most likely the seat belt buckle. I dont recall seeing ant connectors. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Where is the connector?

Connectors / harness is under the seat. if you' disconnected them at any point without disconnecting the battery the light will illuminate. Seat won't come out without disconnecting them and I'm assuming that bar didn't come out without removing the seats.

I don't believe you can't reset the light without the factory scan tool.

Excellent deductive reasoning. Yes the seats came out. No I did not disconnect the battery.

So an OBDII tool wont get it?

Just checked with my local shop and retail scanners are prevented from being able to reset safety related codes.

I am just learning about "Scanners" myself.

It might be more correct to say that basic OBDII tools can reset the emissions-related codes, but manufacturer-related codes must be reset with tools that have manufacturer-specific software packages.

Scroll down to see the function list. Oddly the SRS reset is listed for our 996 GT3 but not for the 996 Turbo or GT2. That chart is kinda screwed up. You might want to email with your Year/Make/Model/VIN to get exact confirmation.
