NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO..... Tire penalty was my only hope of keeping you in site.

I should pull some weight out of my car...but I'm too stubborn to do it.

I purchased my 996 GT3 in the winter of 2010 when the market was low. Sold it a little over a year later for a marginal profit. I regret the sale every single day. I figured I would just be able to pick up another one down the road for the same price, if not less, than what I sold for. Boy was i mistaken!

The balance of the car is perfect in my mind (tested up to 175mph this year at Pocono). It's very stable at high speed turn in but doesn't have the drag of the cup wing. I do run 8 deg spacers in the rear wing which seems to balance the front out nicely.
Thanks for the reply,

Thought it looked more aggressive than the cup splitter. I installed Joe Tooth front 2 piece splitter and run 8deg RS wing similar to yours. Might try to find a cup deck-lid and wing to play around with.

I was ready to sell 04 Cobalt Blue as I was trying to get a new RS. Local dealer was a total PIA to deal with on a low option white one. Ended up just adding a GT4 for track. Plan on keeping the ole 3 now as it is addictive to drive.

Yup, Tri-Oval. North Course was hitting 171mph.

Car is stripped, but has a full motorsport bolt in cage. Motor is stock. Car weighs in a fraction over 2800 lbs whithout driver and 1/4 tank of gas.

It hits 172mph at WGI entering the bus stop also.

6th gear on a track! I wish!

Any idea what you said at ~11:40? I suspect something related to pure bliss

I assume that's a Cup rear bumper as well? Does the 997 Center out exhaust require new headers or will the 996 header set up work fine? Does this exhaust come with Cats or does it run straight through Catless? Thanks Spiller

Absolutely looks the Business!!!
