PCCB progress report #1
At 2,000+ miles including 80 miles of track lapping with moderate (for track) brake use:
No indication of defect or failure. No cracking on rotor surfaces. Braking is very good.

Given the "controversy" over PCCB, I thought I'd just report in from time to time, however my experience with them may develop. 'Glad to know you've had good results; I gather from other posts of yours that you don't exactly baby them, either.

Marco,
I am due to take delivery of my PCCB equiped RS in 3 weeks time. Can you advise if you used any special breaking in methods or just "drove the car".
Thanks in advance.

Main thing is avoid heavy braking. Otherwise, normal street driving. Nothing on track until after 1,500 miles. On cool-down laps, I do not even touch the brake pedal; roll up to chocks in paddock.

My view on PCCB
My GT2 has the Green pads, squeeky but they work. I tried several 150mph to zero stops with no brake fade and compaired to some of the other cars I have owned and driven I would say at this moment in time that I am OK with the brakes.
My GT2 does have however pitting on both the front rotors and after a quick chat with my local Porsche Service Manager he confirmed to me that in the new year when my GT2 is due for its 2 year service he will recommend that 1 rotor is replaced only, with a view to keep an eye on the other one.
My car has covered 6,500miles only.
Henry.

today at willows springs raceway, i took bob rouleau's advice and blew the few clogged holes clean in my front rotors, which he indicates is a source of overheating. brakes working perfectly before and after, and while i never hope to challenge mark and stephen for ralf shumacher's seat, the laps are becoming faster and more fun!!! what a great car!!!! just plants and corners, even for slow posers!!! and now that i'm learning to use this wonderful cornering/handling capability i find it much more fun and useful than the incredible brakes and power..... a revelation --
ej...
i'm just having a glimmer..... of understanding... helped by some good instruction. thanks

i don't know, mark did you get my times tuesday? much faster than "dead slow, no wake" of 3 weeks ago, altho' i'm a long way from being able to do 8 and 9 at speed -- which i'm told is 150 thru 8 in a gt2.
