Lovely pics. I assume you had the doors modified to fit the locks? Is that side intrusion bar a factory part or custom made? From memory there was no side intrusion on the Clubsport cage...

For sure the 996 can handle a lot more power. A whole lot more and it is just a dream to drive fast.

Thanks for sharing!

Guess you put the 996rs back to stock? Really sad in a way that all the old RS models became so valuable.
Most of us used to track them back in the days. I'm ashamed to say that my RS cars get new tires because of old age instead of changing them after 5 track days.

Running a modified 996gt3 instead.
You're not helping to keep me staying upright on the slippery slope.

CF doors and a 4.0l is awesome.

I am curious to hear more about your brake/hub conversion. Can you please share what parts were needed and how you went about this?

Hi, I have a 996.1 (1999) GT3 Clubsport with full OEM full bolt-in cage and it has the side intrusion bars, but I you have to have modified door cards as the arm rests hit them. I have some nice carbon door cards.

^^^ very cool Warwick. So you are saying the side intrusions are factory? I've never seen one with factory side intrusions.
