996.2 GT3 on an 03 plate and noticed a 'blow' in the exhaust.

turned out to be a loose o2 senor and its the pre CAT one.

is this common? is it normally the thread on the sensor or on the exhaust?

am thinking get 2 new pre CAT sensors when the bumper is off.

I had one blow a few months ago. It was stripped threads on the O2 sensor. I forget which one it was, but I was able to safety wire it back until the weekend track event was over, and then just replaced it.

Nick, it is not very common at all, but it can and does happen. Just tighten it up and all will be well.
