Viken shame on you! As a moderator you should not be making any posts like these! As a matter of fact shame to all of you guys for posting all your horror stories with your GT3's!
Do you know the pain and anguish you have caused me?

Here I was happy with my life and my 993's convinced that a 996 is a nice 911 but I'm happy with what I have...Now I feel the need for a GT3! Porsche seems to have done it again... I feel like Odysseus and I cannot close my ears to the Sirens everytime I pass by the GT3 island...

Shame on you!!!!

PS..BTW..Congrats

Danny,

If it makes you feel any better, my 993 still has a very soft spot in my heart. There are quite a few aspects of that car I still like better than the newer 911's. In fact, my wife and I were just talking about keeping it over lunch.

In short, the GT3 is not necessarily a *replacement* for a well setup and cared for 993 unless someone needs to make room for one.

Thanks Viken...As you realize I was joking....I would not really trade my cabrio, its probably now as stiff as a GT3 and with the mods I have on from short boxes to big reds its a joy to drive...Besides its a classic and I love the shape and sound of a 993...
It is true though the GT3 seems the answer to our prayers it is one of the cars that will make you lust, much like your Ferrari the GT3 is the only Porsche besides the 993 that makes me weak to my knees even thinking about it... Maybe the awesome on track site of the GT3's blowing by me, the sound, the way I see them scrambling for traction on the corners have something to do with this too...

If you can keep your 993 that will be awesome...a piece of 911 history for the years to come...

You guys enjoy your GT3's hopefully in the future I will be able to join your ranks...

Yeah, Viken crossed over to the dark side. He really hates 9x6's, but made an exception for the GT3. What's the world coming to!

viken,

i see that you hate the stupid white car as much as i hate my yellow one. btw, assuming the 7-11 big gulp fit the cup holder, it will spill all over the cabin when you bottom out that 2" of jarring suspension travel you got.

radio? where is your radio? i am desperately trying to hang on the that jittery str wheel and making sure my rear end doesn't dance too much, so i haven't had time to locate my radio

120+ miles only? did you run out of gas? i thought pin and i told you to get on I5 north and meet us for our sat. morning drive. we waited waited and waited

congrats, and drive in good health.

Grats Viken, a truly nice car! Amazing that after the 996 fiasco, Porsche has finally come up with something us 993 lovers desire.

Viken,

If you don't mind, which options did you choose?

Thanks

I just finalized my order yesterday. I can't wait. Viken and the replies to his purchase of the GT3 is what this car is all about. My problem now is to make garage space for this thing. I have till middle of December when it arrives. I can't decide on whether to get rid of my Evo VIII or my Integra Type R.
