Default GT3 vs 993

So Viken, how does this car compare to the others in your stable? I have read some of your threads about the 360 but you don't seem to talk about it much. And the 993, you did some worthwile mods, how does the 996 GT3 compare to the 993?

Having trouble uploading pix. How do you get the photos to load as every time I try it says the picture is too big. By the time it works the picture is the size of a postage stamp and you all seem to be able to post huge photos. Help! Even my computer literate son is getting frustrated...

I did answer a similar question in this thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...141#post837141

As to the GT3 vs. the 993, these are also hard to compare. The GT3 with an extra 100 HP and a higher revving engine is a lot quicker. The transmission overall feel is very similar with somewhat better spread ratios. However, the 993's G64/21 ROW gearbox ratios seem to be a slight bit better suited for its engine's torque and horsepower curves. Once again, Porsche had to make some compromises to satisfy a few marketing geniuses and government agencies. The GT3's body is stiffer and the suspension much firmer. Bump steer is more pronounced too. All in all, my 993 is much more drivable on the streets with the significant mods I've made than the GT3.
