WTB: 996 GT3. Driver condition. Not concours. Priced to reflect.

Black 04 just sold on here about a month ago for 55. Didn't seem like concours, but was accident free according to the owner and had ~30k on the clock IIRC. Sold quick and without PPI so you need to be on the ball with money ready if you expect to find one like that.

Where would you guys price a 2 owner seal gray car with 11k mi car with guards lsd? The car has some interior trim upgrades with full leather. The car is in excellent shape with all original paint. Some small scratches and chips in the front bumper. I might be ready to let that one go.

Talk to switch cars and see what they would offer for it. Isringhausen or PNH might buy it too.
It's easier to sell a stock car to a dealer. They might be able to get close to your price as well.

Those deals do pop up from time to time, but you need to be patient and on the forums, cars.com, ebay, etc every hour or you'll miss them. Plenty of people hunting for a deal these days and those types of cars are the exception, not the rule.
When they're listed, they go fast.

Not enough time to drive the cars I have and I haven't been tracking like I did a couple years ago so just not putting on enough miles. Sad.

Trying to figure out the market price is not at all that easy with a fairly small number of cars. I think you can benchmark to 997 GT3's to some extent, but that is a somewhat different animal, so not entirely applicable. When I was buying mine I looked at what sold on Ebay and tried to get a feel for it with lots of searches. In the end, it was a car I wanted to own, and the seller and I agreed on the price. Two dudes talking over the phone and internet does not a market make.
I think for some, you look at what else you can get for the money, decide if it is right for you, and act accordingly. The OP says priced to reflect, but frankly not really sure what that means.
I think you are looking at 50k plus or minus for a higher mileage car (80,000 miles) up to mind 80's for low mileage garage queens. I have it on good authority that a car with 20,000 miles, JRZ suspension, techquipment roll bar, floating discs, and extra wheels went for somewhere around 67k plus shipping.
Your results might vary.

I love these threads...OP wants a deal but also wants it to fall in his lap. I bought my 6GT3 and 993s at the fair price because it was what I wanted expected for the car I expected.
The $55K cars MAY be out there but I guarantee you'll be the same guy posting about how you had to put $10K into it 6 months later.

If the price isn't agreeable to me, I'm not a buyer. Willing to wait, if necessary, for the ask to meet my bid, so to speak. May never happen.
