Since both the cars have a commonality of purpose, I thinks it's very good idea to combine them.
Then I want instruction from the GT3 guys who are faster (than GT2) round the track.
Having the information shared in one forum would allow for meaningful comparisons and observations.

I was just joking about the turbo issue. There's definite logic for offering a combined forum on what may be the last performance over luxury, non-'latte set' appealing cars Porsche will offer for the street in the US.

I agree, the one on the track is rather distracting. I will change it...

The GT3 owner who started the tread likes the GT2, as a future GT3 owner I like the GT2 as well, (if it was the same car it wouldn't have a different model designation).
The cars have the same purpose (extreme sports performance).
What in your driving experience has led you to conclude that the GT2 is just filler? Which part of the GT2 (versus the GT3) isn't pure car, I'm sure Porsche and others are interested to hear?

The intent of the GT2 & GT3 are the same... pure driving without all the extras. However, for mechanical tech issues the GT2 has more in common with the TT than the GT3... in that aspect the GT3 almost stands alone. For interior items they are all pretty much the same (996, TT, GT2, GT3). I like the idea of combining them for discussing intent, but for tech they are different cars. I vote to keep them separate.
