Porsche 996 GT3R wheel sizes - 18x13?
#2
To my knowledge, the 996 GT3 R (99-00), RS (01-03), and RSR (04-05) all came with BBS three-piece, centerlock, 18 in. wheels that had widths of 10 in. front and 11 in. rear. For at least the 2001 model RS, the wheel centers were made of magnesium and the car can accommodate 13 in. wide wheels at the rear.

Thanks for the info but the GT3R site where I sourced the pictures from said that the test GT3Rs were in fact fitted with monoblock BBS wheels as shown in the pictures. A seller has an 18x13 monoblock BBS wheel just like the one fitted on the above car, Porsche part number and all beginning with '996' so this is still a bit confusing.

Btw. you are showing pictures of different cars:
First one is the early GT3R without rear fender flares and thus could expect the wheels are 11x18".
Last one has rear fender flares. That one came also with 11x18" rear wheels, but the car could use rims up to 13x18" or so. Perhaps 11x18" was the official size due to it being the max. allowed wheel width back then in the class, and depending on the racing series cars could run different width wheels.
