BTW, the Champion parts come with rod-boots/weatherseals which are very nice for street/rain use

FWIW - I have ERP units with bump steer adjustment on my car. I believe ERP supplies Tarett with the units they sell that have bump adjustment, but I don't believe they supply the standard units that Tarett sells.

The ERP's on my car have been on there for > 5 years and no plan in any of the rod ends to date and I check pretty frequently.

Is Tarett still using ERP or is it Rennline-made now? not that it probably matters...

Digging up this almost 5 year old thread. I am planning on having a set up done on my 996 GT3 to allow for more performance on windy public roads (not an out and out track set up as the car won’t be going on track). I have had the factory eccentric bolt move on my previous GT3 that had cup toe links. A locking plate fixed it. Is this a concern for road use also? Not cars and coffee, the car will be exercised properly, just not at the limits seen on a track.

Trying to assess whether I should bother with adjustable toe links and locking plates.

I'd see no reason to not use locking plates/links... lifespan might be a bit shorter than oem setup but worth it all day

I have yet to see a need for the locking plates, yes you should bump the car if you are seriously tracking it, and get the solid pucks as well!
