i did a couple searches... nothing i was looking for came up...

the 996gt2 dme report is pretty simple compared to the 997 cars from what i gather...

there a cliff notes version on what i am looking for ?

Anything at or above range 3 can be concerning.

can someone post a sample report ?

i thought there was just and under / over for these cars and no range 1,2,3,4,5 like on the 997s

there are range 1, and range 2.
range 1 is 6750-7250, range 2 is 7250rpm+...tuned cars can type 2 just by hitting the raised rev limiter
Should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, type2 is not necessarily 'bad'...

The DME over rev info on the 996s is highly suspect to begin with. My car for example does not record any type 1s, only type 2s...
