Unfortunately, they might sit for a while at $3500.

The market for stuff like this really slimmed down once these cars started going up in value. We all know stock is king for resale. Once the 996 & 997 reached a certain point, new buyers started wanting original configuration over anything.

You can see the wtb pccb rotor threads as evidence of that.

People that have owned 996 and 997 for a while already have the seats they want.

Combine that with the decreasing price of 986, 987, 996, and 997 non gt variants and the fact you can get current year race seats for about $2500 and the market diminishes even more.

These are also much less fancy looking than the 997 gt2 cf buckets and don't fit a wide variety of bodies.

Good luck with the sale. Just some insight if you're not getting the responses you thought you might.

I just sold a set of these seats for $4200. They were mint. $3500 is a very good price. I wouldn't budge a penny. With a little patience they will sell.

Heck, they can probably fit in anything - 996, 993, 964, Boxster, Cayman..I know of a guy that has them in a 914!!

Awesome seats. Had them in ours when we bought it but not great for DD use - especially when the wife used it every day wearing a skirt...said she can't get into/out of the car lady like.

I appreciate some of the feedback. These seats arent being made anymore - and I'm in no rush to get rid of them. Theyre in very good shape so Im comfortable waiting for the right buyer.

Which ones are you referring to? The 996GT3 buckets are not CF. I assume you are referring to the 997 CF buckets or the the 997 partial CF folding buckets?

Were the 996 Buckets also made in CF (i.e., a true CF bucket like the CGT bucket in the 997) or are they shells that have a layer of CF applied for the CF look? I've had several sets of the 996 buckets in both leather in Perlon and never came across a CF set.

I thought the non-Club Sport Comfort buckets were carbon (with Perlon)...the Club Sport Track versions...Mooty was selling some...they aren't cheap

My set of factory Clubsport, Perlon (cloth) version, with "Recaro" and the Porsche Crest stitched onto the head rest area, are plastic, no carbon whatsoever.
