Default Old Porsche Technology... from 959 to GT2

I was viewing the original 959 Groupe B car that was first shown in 1983. This car was gorgous finished in a pearl white color.

Anywho... I was surprised to see the vents at the base of the hood just like the GT2. It took almost 20 years for that technology to show up in modern road cars, though I wonder how effective it was back then. Apparantly it did not make it to the production 959 series.

Rear shot... that exhaust tip was huge by any standards.

Nice shots. Beautiful car. I think the hood vents on the GT2 are not only functional , but look great.

gt2 vents are very functional; try putting your hand on the vent after you run hard. what do you feel?
