Default Mark 2 Clubsport RHD

I have a chance to buy a 20k miles untracked example in
Arctic silver . Just had a PPI . DME readout perfect .
Drives well , LSD fine . £2k work needed .
Bodywork and interior excellent . Various mechanical
Bits and bobs required plus a major service . Seller wants
£60k non negotiable . I know the car as its local to me
And i have first refusal .

Any thoughts welcome as i need to decide by tomorrow .
Is it a fair price ?

Aren't people going nuts for club sports in UK at the moment? I would buy up, prices have been on the rise over there from what i've seen. Maybe try and negotiate a bit of that repair work into the final price? I always say pay a few more $$ for a car that you really want, especially if the pickings are slim. You wont think about the extra money when you're smiling in the driver's seat.

Holy Moly, Buy an MKII here in the states and save 15K GBP. They are running mid $60K-$70K USD

Thanks guys .
Yes its annoying and i suspect that U.S prices will catch up . I prefer RHD and with
The logistics of finding and shipping its not such agreat option to import .
I will probably have to bite the bullet as there are no cheaper cars to buy and i know
This one in the UK .

Cool

However this car has no air con .
I know i could manage ok with the use i have in mind and
Where i live but it seems it would generally reduce the value
By £5k which could be a dealbreaker ..

There is not a single LHD CS for sale anywhere in Europe (Mk1 or 2). There are two cars for sale in Switzerland. One very heavily, but tastefully modified with Manthey, the other one standard. By the time they are registered in the UK with the VAT paid, you will be looking at £55k or thereabouts. A US car will attract 10% AND VAT, hence it is even more of a no-go proposition.

There is a RHD SY Mk2 CS with Dove House. No air-con either at £55k, but with almost triple the miles. I guess your example sounds reasonable value especially that you know the car well. On a similar note - if I was to sell my LHD Mk1 CS K400 with 27k miles and full, and I mean full Manthey Performance Catalogue right down to the EUR75 bonnet badge thrown at it I would unashamedly ask for £70k + simply because there is nothing out there to replace it...

That price is a bold ask, but if you can get comfortable you won't need to sink any more money into repairs for the next year this may come out fair. I imagine an immaculate .2 CS might get listed for £70k at a Hex or JZM, but net to seller this shouldn't be more than £60k ATM?

That is a $110K~ AUD car here... considering your market in UK, I think its reasonable.
