We shall see if Tyson "is full of it." I missed Tyson at the PCA breakfast because he didn't have his car ready. However, I did place his name on the Team Porsche roster for the upcoming Ely, Nevada event! Tyson can run as a rookie, hang out with the boys and set down over a beer one-on-one with Carl and we will do a back of the envelope design of his soon to be full cage and fire suppression system. Not to mention the six point harness set up. I know he has made the trek to Stand 21 for a good hat and I am certain he has been fitted for a high qualty multi-layer fire suit, arm restaints, window nets and the little things we like to do when we run 200+. Right Tyson? Let me know when it is time to fire up a cuban!

Watt,
Glad to hear our man is serious! That says he has the stand 21 hat and a sixpoint harness system all figured out to run 165 or 124 without the harness. A face to fac with Carl is a still a good plan to sketch out the "back of the envelope" plan for the to-be IRC. Must not forget "door bars" and the little things that count. If Tyson is not ready to run 124 mph he can still drive up and play and NAVIGATE for me. I will give him a ride he will remember! We shall see! Tyson, you reading this Amigo?
R
PS
My GPS (and the Canon GL camcorder) no longer run on batteries. Very convenient. Also played with some new GPS antennae that seem to work really well. I am installing one GPS on the Ruf drivers side and the other will be installed in the M5! The M5 version is removable so navigator Tyson will be properly equipped to guarantee we nail the 170 or 180 trophy!

Having seen a 996TT dyno sheet and it made around 330 to the wheels stock( a lot for any stock car) I dont see how this car can be made to make the HP #'s some of you are saying with bolt ons and pump gas . Can some of you explain how your coming up with these #'s like what boost levels, race gas, stock internals, etc...? Dont get me wrong I know 911 turbos can make a ton of HP but I think they have a lot more work done than just bolt ons and would also think the boost requirments would call for race gas, no?

blitz: perhaps a "search" of the archives may yield some answers to your questions! As I recall CJV posted several thousand words relating to specifics of his work. Our friend Porsche PhD has posted some very good information also. Please give it a try.

blitz951,
No internals are needed. We have a very good working knowledge of the lower end from models before. No race gas and 1.2 boost. I have driven mine this way for 20K+ without issue.

Yes sir. We run 93 here in KC. Everything is tuned to run on pump. We have some 100 programs, but I don't push them unless someone ask. I believe in building something that can be run daily. We also have a 91 octane for the CA and poor states that don't have anything better.
