I've studied you race laps you are absolutely not one of the individuals in question.

I've got video somewhere I'll dig up of me vs 996 cup with similar apex speed running down the back straight at mid ohio. I've got similar video vs 3.8 cup and it's not pretty for me on that one

At thill 996cup are in the 1:51 range. There are no street car 6gt3 or ne street 7 gt3 stripped that has recorded that. Buy a 6 cup- u'll get to that lapine fastes. Mike

Turns out that there are quite a number of differences. Based on the 2005 Cup car parts list:
Crankcase
Crankshaft
Crank Pulley
Main bearings
Conrod assemblies
Cylinder housing, liner,piston assembly
Cylinder heads, valves, retainers
Camshaft housing
Cams
Tappets
Chain sprocket for oil pump - different ratio
oil tank assembly
oil pump
