Default Any one upgrade their 996 GT2 valve springs?

The heads will come off my 996 GT2 and i am considering upgrading the springs. Are there any recommendations to consider? Thank you in advance.

Are you going to spin it to higher RPM than stock?

Going to a larger cam than stock?

If no to both above I'd stick with stock springs unless you're somehow experiencing valve float currently?. Excessive seat pressure where it's not necessary leads to accelerated wear on the rest of the components in the head / cam

Thanks guys. At 6k rms I am experiencing valve float. The car puts 1000 rwhp at 6k, but when healthy, at 7800 it puts down 1375 at the wheels. So i am considering upgrading the springs since the heads are off the car. The car is at EVOMS now and hope to get it back shortly. I will look at 6Speed and see what options are out there. I am sure EVOMS will recommend something is necessary, but was trying to see what the smarter than me may have done.

Sounds like an amazing build. I drove a 700+ WHP 996 GT2 that one of my friends had locally and it was a pretty serious experience. I can't imagine what the 1300 must be like.

Thanks Andy. If you find yourself in Raleigh sometimes, let me know and you can drive it.
