Default hi-perf oil systems for GT2/3??

Would an accusump system provide any benefit for the GT2/3??
Any thoughts on design/function etc. ??

From website (edited version):
"An Accusump is an oil reservoir connected to the engine's oiling system & designed to deliver pressurized oil to an engine before starting to eliminate dry start scuffing (pre-oiling) and to discharge its reservoir of oil during low oil pressure surges to protect against engine damage during demanding racing conditions and can be wired directly into the ignition.

you can take a look here:

The GT2/3 already got a dry-sump system. Don't think this will be needed!

Agree - dry sump obviates the need for accusump...

In my mind an accusump has a primary function of PREOILING the engine prior to starting thus avoiding the wear associated with an engine start-up when there is no oil pressure. The rest is gravy.

start up wear is not going to be the sole reason an engine needs rod-bearings replaced, the way in which you use your car has much more effect on engine wear.

the start up feature of the accusump is a byproduct of how the system works not necessarily a main feature (reference page 4: http://cdn.racerpartswholesale.com/d...structions.pdf)

remember members like T2, his 996 Turbo is-going-to or already-has over 400,000 miles and it did it all without accusump.... why? because he likely avoids repetitive cold cranks, allows the oil to warm before getting on it, and given his living/work arrangements he drives quite a bit between start-up & shut-down.
